This will be my last post before Christmas, so if you celebrate the holiday, have a merry one. Also, a big shalom to my Jewish friends out there.
I wish I were able to give each of you readers a nice big popcorn tin for Christmas, but since I can't, I'll do the next best thing and tell you what I've already told Pitch Fork readers: what restaurants are going to be open December 25.
Chinese food:
Princess Garden at 89th Street and Wornall is open 11:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.
New Peking Chinese Restaurant in Westport is open 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Mediterranean food:
Aladdin Cafe is open 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Indian/Pakistani food
New Cafe Tandoor at 36th Street and Broadway is open 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Masalas Indian Diner at 91st Street and Metcalf, near Cinzetti's, is open 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 5:30 to 9:30 p.m.
Ruchi's Indian Restaurant, also in Overland Park, is open 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and 5 to 9 p.m.
Vietnamese food
Hien Vuong Restaurant in the River Market is open 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Korean food:
Chosun Korean Barbecue in south Overland Park is open 4:30 to 9:30 p.m.
Happy eating, happy holidays and see you back here Friday with a champagne round-up.
