IHOP meet TARP

Pancakes.bmp.jpgHey, finally a bailout not aimed at banks. No, this one is aimed at people who like eating massive quantities of food for one set price. It's IHOP's Hungry Consumer Relief Plan. HCRP (really, a lackluster acronym from a restaurant chain known by its acronym) is simple: For $4.99 IHOP will give you all the pancakes you can eat.

From the IHOP press release:
"IHOP invites guests to enjoy their fill of All You Can Eat Pancakes, with minimal economic impact, any time of day now through February 22 ... Pancakes are served fresh three at a time until the guest is satisfied."

Combine the line "until the guest is satisfied" with the fact all IHOPs are open 24 hours a day and there's really no limit to how many meals you could make out of this.

If you're really into pancakes, Fat City pancake expert Charles Ferruzza had two great posts on the subject last week.
