Wal-Mart announced it's hiring 22,000 new workers this year. Wait, because it's Wal-Mart does that mean the economy is getting better or worse? [KC Biz Journal]Thought this would be the other way around but no, the internet doesn't cause insomnia but can actually cure it. [Time]
One of the reasons bluefin tuna is becoming so rare is because companies such as Mitsubishi (yes, that Mitsubishi) are hoarding the fish. [Independent]
Is it possible for the entire speakeasy movement to suddenly become passe with one article. When it's the New York Times talking about how "hip" they are, the answer is yes. [NYT]

Something like 30% of WalMart customters find their stores to be in unacceptable condition, yet still shop there because the prices are so low. I think that takes away from the meaning of unacceptable.

What stuns me about their stores is how incredibly dirty they look just 2 weeks after they open. I don't avoid WM to make a statement them or their policies. I avoid them because the few bucks I save don't offset the miserable shopping experience. I'm obviously in the minority.
