​Either Hollywood is chef crazy or chefs have gone Hollywood, but the result seems to the same -- every time you turn on your television or head to the movie theater, you're going to see a story that equates food and love (just like chef Art Smith tells us on Top Chef). 

In honor of Julie and Julia -- which opened on Friday -- Moviefone has put together a list of the top 10 best food scenes of all time. And while much has been made of food styling on the set of the movie based on a blogger's experiences cooking Julia Child recipes, this list focuses on past movies set in restaurants and family kitchens.

While the inclusion of Big Night and Chocolat are appreciated, this list has a few glaring holes.
Egregiously missing are:

Annie Hall -- In the classic Woody Allen film, a bit of inspired comedy stars a live lobster in a galley kitchen.

Willy Wonka and The Chocolate Factory (the original) -- There is a chocolate river. Who among us has not wished for something like this in our backyard? 

Attack of the Killer Tomatoes -- The first time that our vegetables turned on us. It's certainly more watchable than The Happening. A remake is rumored to be coming in 2011. 

In food news off the screen, AMC now stands for A.M. Cinema -- the Kansas City-based theater chain's test-marketing of breakfast at the movies. Kansas City is one of five cities where omelets and cinnamon rolls will be available through Labor Day. As we all know, imitation nacho cheese is the finest way to start your morning.
