​If you're worried about being starstruck when The Guy Fieri Road Show comes to Kansas City on December 7, fear not. The Atlantic has put together a list of what you should and shouldn't do in front of celebrity chefs.

As a tie-in with the upcoming etiquette book, What To Do When No One Has a Clue, this month's entry deals with the relatively new phenomenon of how to approach a famous chef:

We watch them on TV; we cook from their cookbooks; we follow their blogs; we go to their restaurants. But now that they have invited us into their kitchens, can we consider ourselves family?

A variety of scenarios cover asking for a picture, making a reservation, and how familiar is too familiar.

Now that you've figured out how to be cool you can go see the Food Network star's cooking demonstration/talk/extravaganza at the Midland. Although it's his first time on stage here, Fieri is no stranger to Kansas City, having visited and profiled Grinders, YJ's Snack Bar, and Mama's 39th Street Diner for his show, Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives.

If Fat City had to bet where he'd be stopping when he's in town, we'd put our money on Grinders -- he and Grinders owner Stretch seem to share a number of personality traits.

Just a word of caution. Make sure the guy you're talking to is actually Guy Fieri. You wouldn't be the first Kansas Citian to be taken in by an impostor, as Fox Sports News discovered at Kauffman Stadium back in May.
