National Protest for Ugandan Refugees

According to Reuters, talks resumed today between the government and the Lord's Resistance Army (LRA), but the current framework for ending the process may not be adequate to end the humanitarian crisis. This isn’t just a “hey-hey, ho-ho” protest situation; it might actually be a useful exercise. Peace talks, and diplomacy in general, probably don’t just occur to President Bush. It’s possible that he’ll vaguely overhear something on the radio, smack his forehead, and launch some of those shuttle diplomats they used to have on the government payroll.
