I can agree with LoneWolf on somethings and I have seen much more odd things on other peoples myspace pages and he may love his kid very much and stayed married for a long time despite his age but that does not take away the fact his is a killer and he planned this killing out and to me, that is pretty "Creepy"! I would not want that guy lurking around me or my loved ones.

He stands accused. He stands charged. Thus far, the police have not released a single shred of evidence that makes him a 'killer' or that indicates that he 'planned out anything."

Doubtless they have evidence. Doubtless this evidence will surface throughout the extent of the case and trial. But until it does, please be so good to remember that this is America. And a 'creepy Myspace page" does not constitute concrete evidence. Neither does the fact that Mr. Hall (like so many dozens of others, none of whom, I add, seemed to have witnessed anything)happened to be at the Target at the same time as the victim.

If he is indeed guilty of the crime, I imagine that our infamously punitive justice system will see him prosecuted to the full, deserving extent. But until that evidence is presented and the trial decided, please try and avoid appointing yourselves "judge, jury, and executioner".

All I can say is that I am damned glad I have never been accused of a crime, wrongly or otherwise. The omnipotent general public would doubtless consider my own affinity for horror films or Stephen King novels to be damning enough that even if I didn't hang for it, I'd still be labeled a psychotic monster on nationwide news.

Again, if Mr. Hall is indeed proven guilty beyond all reasonable doubt, then I certainly stand by our justice system (or what's left of it). And my heart does go out to the victim's family. Her loss is a true tragedy and it is shameful that they had to suffer this. But please remember that Mr. Hall also has a family and a child of his own. If he is, in fact, innocent of this crime, imagine the damage that is being inflicted on his own loved ones. And even if he is determined to be guilty, I hope you at least have the grace to be thankful that his son won't be able to read your rabid cries for his father's rape, torture, and ultimate painful death.

Hall does appear to have rough physical characteristics of the individual seen on the Target tape. However, so does my brother. I think the general populace should be discouraged from this type of reactionary rhetoric that appears multiple times on this thread--alert citizenry is the only guarantee we have against a deterioration of the justice system.

So please enlighten me, 'Jeremy', as to where I am to find the humor in someone's heartfelt pain as they sit by and watch their personal friend be crucified by the press and public for something they truly believe he is incapable of having done.

After reading several of the posts I've concluded that Hall must have been gay. If I was a guy I would have raped the girl. After all - if you are going to kill a beautiful young woman why not fuck (rape) her as well. It's not like you wouldn't rape her because you don't want to get in trouble for that. What the hell.

I think this whole thing has irreversibly affected how everyone thinks. As I walk out of a store, I watch people more and hold my daughter closer. I know everyone is emotional and very understandable. I don't really think you can judge and jury one man according to the news stations. Hasn't the public learned that news is so biased. I happen to think the man did it, but not being on the jury, seeing the evidence, and the defense, am not willing to point my finger and condemn ANYONE. Everybody needs to calm down and eat some fruit or something. Unless I am really out of the loop, the only evidence I've seen is some grainy cell phone quality videos and a myspace page. Oh, and an even lower quality still shot of a truck that looks like mine. No fingerprints yet. No DNA evidence yet. No matching license plates yet. No bloody gloves, no smoking gun. Whoever did this deserves some severe punishment, but who here is 100 percent, with a doubt, would stake their life on it sure that Hall is the person who did it? I agree that right now people are angry and are going to do and say things that wouldn't do if they thought it out beforehand, but if you are truly angry and upset over this then go donate some time or money to one of our local women's shelters, (www.safehome-ks.org) (www.sheffieldplace.org) (www.synergyservices.org) And eat some fruit, I hear it's relaxing.

It pretty much is as simple as this- the clothing he is wearing is much easier to identify than his face is. was he wearing that outfit that day? those shoes? did he use debit/ credit cards in the area between 7 and 9pm on that day? how about HIS cell phone pings?

it is unfair to call adoption a red flag. yes, he was adopted late and i can not speak of his time in the foster care system, that aside, there are plenty of children that need good homes and it is not fait to lump them all in Halls category. What strikes me is that the adoptive parents felt fear.

i read that a month or so ago Hall approached a woman in the parking lot of oak park mall and made her feel very uncomfortable.

as soon as her car was dusted and prints ran, if his fingerprints were in her car, there would be a match because of his previous charges.

to say that not all of the evidence has come forward...(i do think that, even though it is myspace, having eating babies and all of his crap that he had on there is a bit demented, the fact that his wife did not ask him to remove it, i expect nothing less than for her to be in complete denial of what has occured)...it doesn't take weeks for evidence proving him guilty to come out. it takes the dusting of that car and the running of prints. how do you think that they had a person of interest so early on?

I am honestly finding it difficult to formulate an opinion; an aside, I don't know that threads like this are actually beneficial to anyone. And as a survivor, my one question left is this: why must you die to get justice? One in four women in our country will be sexually assaulted by the time she's 18...and that's not a woman problem. How is it that sick individuals such as the perp. in this case, be they men or women, old or young, fathers or sons, how do they allow themselves to act out what only the demented think--let alone do? Nature vs. Nurture. The egg and the chicken.

There is evil all around us, folks...despite however many churches we put on our streets, despite how many times we've heard to love our neighbors as ourselves. How overwhelmingly sad that this girl's last moments were in the presence of anyone as truly troubled as the soul who made off with hers.

Hi I am a mother of 4 children and it scares the hell out of me there are people out there like this and not just the murderer but there had to be someone that seen her get pulled in the car and did nothing .
I mean This is why i watch my kids like a hawk(I got mad when my 10 yr told me she went over to a friends house and the friends mom let them walk two blocks to a puplic lake she not going there anymore there are to many wierdos out there beside if she fell in the lake no one would help her even if they were right there ).
I have told all my kids about this so they can be very careful in the future and to be on the look out for weird people following them even in the store but not just weird people but people that look normal to.

I will say that I agree with what you said about the Target Security 100%. That hit me yesterday and it's bugged me ever since. Do you think that something should be done with them? I'm not talking jail time. But people need to start taking the extra step to ensure the safety of their customers. If they "saw" his odd-ball behavior, why not get up, go the doors when he left and make sure that he left the area without incident? Why wasn't her safety important enough?

Only in my case, I'm still alive because the security guard noticed this man following me through the store and then towards my car. He ran out and helped me. Where was Target's Security?

wow, i just moved here. you peeps are giving me the creeps with all this "evil doer" talk. it called mental illness in the science community. you know, that community of peeps that are scholars... the reason he was allowed to kill that girl is cuz your political officials would rather spend money on cops sitting at donut shops while this kid kills, rather than to put your tax money into preventative health care for the mentally ill in your community. thats right, i'm suggesting this would not have happened had the system been geared to prevent it. again, it's called preventative health care. instead, you and your "political leaders" sent the police out the donut shop and into the park to walk their highly trained dogs. maybe i'm wrong here but, if the mental health system has no priority or "teeth" in the community, then peeps like jack will continue to live shut-in right next door to any of you... or, are you thinking the criminal system is going to find the "jacks" before he commits a crime? before he is a evil criminal... just a thought from someone new to the area...

Certainly I can see where everyones anger comes from on this.. and that is natural and would be strange not get angry and want to rip the guys head off and make him suffer a horrible death

Also you would feel this even more if you had it happen to your own daughter

Yet in saying that..this is just another case of reason why people need JESUS CHRIST in their life

As soon as AMERICA took prayer out of schools things have gone gradually down hill for the country

People want to do things their way, leaving God out of the picture and in turn what comes back is a result.

So yes..anger is justified

And right now he might not give a crap that he has murdered, who knows what state of mind he is in..

Years from now when he is sitting in his cell, he may come to a place where he realizes that what he did not only was wrong but was selfish and maybe just maybe he will cry out to Jesus Christ

He is one of thousands of men and women that are rightfully so locked up in prison for their crimes

Yet holding on to bitterness gets people no where.. at some point we all need to choose to forgive.. though certainly people will be less inclined to do it while its fresh in their mind.

There is a lot of power in forgiveness.. I once saw a man whos daughter had been murdered, face his daughters murderer years later and tell him that he forgave him

The person who murdered broke down in tears

So certainly my heart goes out to both familes, and for now he needs to be behind bars locked up.. but that is not where it should end.

Bars wont change him.. Only Jesus will
