What an asshole, if this guy had listened to 80s glam metal instead of the shit he listed on his myspace this would have never happened.
Posted On: Friday, Jun. 8 2007 @ 12:15PMDo you think the music IS the problem or is it a SYMPTOM of a different problem?
Posted On: Friday, Jun. 8 2007 @ 12:43PMI find it interesting his wife has rape as one of her biggest fears..
Posted On: Friday, Jun. 8 2007 @ 12:59PMMarriage is not a boyfriend and girlfriend relationship. That this MARRIED couple did not conceive in their first 3 years is just creepy. Usually the desire to "just be friends" hits in the 50s, not at 20. The demon spawn, child of cain, was supposed to "save" the marriage. Now damien's curse is upon the earth.
The dude must have been trying to hide his pervese psychosexual behavior in the cover of wedlock.
Posted On: Friday, Jun. 8 2007 @ 1:21PMI'm not entirely sure why you mention his wife's 'interesting' fear of rape. None of the media coverage I've seen indicated that the victim was raped or sexually assaulted in any way. It wasn't included in the list of charges. Assuming that Edwin Hall is, in fact, guilty (speculation at best, until the case develops further), doesn't necessarily make him a rapist.
I'm also not entirely sure what's so 'creepy' about the Myspace page. The guy watches horror films, likes Batman and his father, and wishes he could have met Ghandi for Chrissake. The weird (and otherwise very out of place) comments about 'eating children' and harming small animals would, in any other context, be regarded as darkly comical or stupid at best. Certainly not 'creepy.'
Compared to a great many I have seen, this guy's Myspace page is pretty normal. He loves his kid, has been married an uncharacteristically long time for his age bracket, and seems to have goals and aspirations just like anyone else.
Posted On: Friday, Jun. 8 2007 @ 1:32PMAwesome work finding and saving the page! Well done guys!
Posted On: Friday, Jun. 8 2007 @ 1:54PMI can agree with LoneWolf on somethings and I have seen much more odd things on other peoples myspace pages and he may love his kid very much and stayed married for a long time despite his age but that does not take away the fact his is a killer and he planned this killing out and to me, that is pretty "Creepy"! I would not want that guy lurking around me or my loved ones.
Posted On: Friday, Jun. 8 2007 @ 3:08PMYou don't know that he is a killer. But we do know that you are guilty of being an idiot beyond a shadow of a doubt.
Posted On: Friday, Jun. 8 2007 @ 3:14PMHe stands accused. He stands charged. Thus far, the police have not released a single shred of evidence that makes him a 'killer' or that indicates that he 'planned out anything."
Doubtless they have evidence. Doubtless this evidence will surface throughout the extent of the case and trial. But until it does, please be so good to remember that this is America. And a 'creepy Myspace page" does not constitute concrete evidence. Neither does the fact that Mr. Hall (like so many dozens of others, none of whom, I add, seemed to have witnessed anything)happened to be at the Target at the same time as the victim.
If he is indeed guilty of the crime, I imagine that our infamously punitive justice system will see him prosecuted to the full, deserving extent. But until that evidence is presented and the trial decided, please try and avoid appointing yourselves "judge, jury, and executioner".
All I can say is that I am damned glad I have never been accused of a crime, wrongly or otherwise. The omnipotent general public would doubtless consider my own affinity for horror films or Stephen King novels to be damning enough that even if I didn't hang for it, I'd still be labeled a psychotic monster on nationwide news.
Again, if Mr. Hall is indeed proven guilty beyond all reasonable doubt, then I certainly stand by our justice system (or what's left of it). And my heart does go out to the victim's family. Her loss is a true tragedy and it is shameful that they had to suffer this. But please remember that Mr. Hall also has a family and a child of his own. If he is, in fact, innocent of this crime, imagine the damage that is being inflicted on his own loved ones. And even if he is determined to be guilty, I hope you at least have the grace to be thankful that his son won't be able to read your rabid cries for his father's rape, torture, and ultimate painful death.
Posted On: Friday, Jun. 8 2007 @ 3:27PMokay, come on guys, he did it. they have him on video. it was his truck. the dudes a weirdo that likes to "eat children and kill small animals." he pretty much destroyed our whole community. If you think he should really be considered innocent until proven guilty you are not seeing the big picture. he should have been shot on site.
Posted On: Friday, Jun. 8 2007 @ 4:39PMLonewolf, I must thank you for voicing your rational point of view despite the inevitable sea of ignorance which must follow! Kudos.
Hall does appear to have rough physical characteristics of the individual seen on the Target tape. However, so does my brother. I think the general populace should be discouraged from this type of reactionary rhetoric that appears multiple times on this thread--alert citizenry is the only guarantee we have against a deterioration of the justice system.
Posted On: Friday, Jun. 8 2007 @ 4:59PMHangem:
This is America, not N. Korea. Nobody should be shot on site. If he's proven to be the perpetrator of this crime then by all means, exterminate the sicko.
Posted On: Friday, Jun. 8 2007 @ 5:18PMLonewolf is just as bad as that piece of crap in the news. Get a life Lonewolf and quit trying to sound so damn educated. You are a douche bag.
Posted On: Friday, Jun. 8 2007 @ 5:25PMIf Mr. Hall is indeed guilty of the crimes for which he is currently accused, then he deserves the death penalty perhaps, but we need to let the judicial process run its course.
Hall certainly seems likely to be guilty from what the media has released thus far... but then again so did O.J. Simpson in the early days of the murder(s) he was charged with. As I recall he was found "not guilty" by a jury of his so-called peers!
Needless-to-say, Simpson was wrongfully acquitted of horrendous crimes he certainly did commit..let's just hope that when all is said and done that Edwin R, Hall is not only found guilty, but receives the appropriate punishment. (((( IN MY OPINION EDWIN HALL DESERVES THE DEATH PENALTY!!!)))))
Posted On: Friday, Jun. 8 2007 @ 6:15PMAll I can say to lonewolf is do you have a daughter you jack ass? If it were her would you be so understanding? I think you are as sick a bastard as him!!
Posted On: Friday, Jun. 8 2007 @ 6:34PMThe guilty till proven innocent crowd are practicing tribal law.
Tribalism was the law of the land in Europe prior to the 20th century.
Ideology was written on the skin. When a Greek incountered a Persian he knew he was peering at a completely different and perhaps adverse culture that was hostile to his own. Prejudice is natural and can not be removed from hundreds of thousands of years of evolution. And before you think prejudice is "Evil" (how could it be evil if it is instinct), we would not be in this bogus war for Iraq fighting for another tribe (Israel). If it weren't for this "anti-racism" B/S peddled by the same Israeli dual citizens, we would NOT be at war, but at peace in our secure lands.
I admit this guy looks different than my tribe, so I am instantly suspicious of him.
Forget black/white racism. People are racist tribally. But I say it is perfectly natural. I cannot condemn this pre-justice even though it is completely against "democracy".
Since Bush has ruined our economy, ruined our national cohesion by refusing to secure our border, put hundreds of thousands out of work, cut national healthcare, rewarded companies that shipped their workforce overseas, and engaged in genocidal war not of our interests or saftey all for his darling "Chosen People" (Israelis) the American populus has been forsaken by this administration and is left with nothing to turn to except family and bloodkinship ties. I expect more prejudices in the future.

I feel sorry for you.. Because you dont know what a kind caring loving person he is and allways will be .. and you could never be as great a person as him.. You will never have the friends and family he has because of what you are.. I hope you go to sleep and know how your not a man like he is.. I do feel sorry for you .. and hope maybe you can find ..maybe 1 friend or..somone who will care about you when people are saying things llike this to you.. im sure it will take you a long time .. but i still hope!
---Tink---
so anyways lol i kinda think its funny
Posted On: Friday, Jun. 8 2007 @ 8:21PMYeah. "Funny." Its so hilariously funny to see people in pain. Nothing demonstrates the prevalence of schadenfreude like the anonymity of internet postings.
So please enlighten me, 'Jeremy', as to where I am to find the humor in someone's heartfelt pain as they sit by and watch their personal friend be crucified by the press and public for something they truly believe he is incapable of having done.
Or worse yet, if he DID do it. I cannot even imagine how I would feel upon discovering that one of my loved ones was guilty of murder. But that doesn't even register for most of you, does it? What I think I find most alarming is the gross lack of humanity presented in the whole of these comments (and the comments on the other, related thread on this site.)
I've seen people howling for his immediate death (to hell with due process!), for his imminent rape and torture, and even for having him thrown into the street to be 'torn apart by an angry mob of civilians."
I don't typically even espouse a liberal bias in my thinking. In fact, I'm overall pretty socially conservative. But I have to admit that the irony of many of you pointing fingers and yelling "Sicko! Pervert!" even as you howl rabidly for blood to be shed is not lost on me. This is a human being we're talking about here. A human being with a family and people who love him. A human being who, until TRIED AND CONVICTED is still innocent of the crime you're all so willing to see him butchered for.
It frightens the hell out of me that any one of you savages could be sitting on a jury, for this case or any other. That you are so willing to dispense with the very notion of due process and judge a man based solely on your baseless perceptions and a bunch of media hokum is a sad testament to why our legal system needs to be LOOSENED rather than tightened.
If he is found guilty (which he may well be), then the judicial process will handle the matter. That's why we HAVE a judicial process. The way some of you are acting, you'd think this was 1864 and we were one step away from lynch mobs and hang-ropes.
Posted On: Friday, Jun. 8 2007 @ 8:39PMwhy not bring back the lynch ropes it was the way of the west and it should still be lol yep
Posted On: Friday, Jun. 8 2007 @ 8:49PMI could only hope that I could sit on his jury!! Yes what about the people who love him like the sister he harmed. I think that those who still "love" him should be thanking God he didnt hurt them first!! The only person I feel sorry for is his son he has no choice in having the sick bastard for a dad.
Posted On: Friday, Jun. 8 2007 @ 9:09PMMy comment about this Freak is he is a very very sick person. Wheather it seems from his child life or as an adult hes is sick in his mind to be able to spend a normal day with his wife and child in back yard playing with a neighbor kid then leave his home to to go find a girl to kill then return like nothing happened. Is he a human because I'm not getting this motive at all"????
Posted On: Friday, Jun. 8 2007 @ 9:49PMI thought about checking out MySpace yesterday after I saw his wife has such an unusal first name, I knew there was a good chance I'd find it. And sure enough, there she was...I had a chance to check out her page, as well as his, before she made it private and eventually deleted it. She listed one of her biggest fears as "rape". I know that has not been reported (yet) but I'm sure it's inevitable that it happened. I feel very sorry for his poor wife and little son. It really makes you realize ANYTHING can happen at ANY TIME -even just leaving the store in daylight!!!!
Posted On: Friday, Jun. 8 2007 @ 10:01PMhey,does anybody have the link to his wife's page ...or did she remove it?and what happened to his page???????????
Posted On: Friday, Jun. 8 2007 @ 10:17PMBoth pages are gone, there's a copy of his page on this site, the link under his pic at the top. But you can't read anything on it. It was hard to read when it was still on MySpace. I was just thinking, why is everyone so concerned with looking at this guy instead of finding out about this girl who died. (I know, I'm guilty of it too!). Did anyone know there is another teenage girl from the same area Kelsey's body was found that has been missing since 5/4/07? Her name is Kara Kopetsky. I bet he had something to do with this girls disappearence, too. She has a MySpace page. I couldn't find Kelsey's page, anyone have the link?
Posted On: Friday, Jun. 8 2007 @ 10:54PMLonewolf you are the dumbest person I have ever saw a comment posted by. This animal that u call a human, just killed an innocent young woman, she has people who care for her. Who gives a shit about him, I pray to god that anyone and or everyone he cares for gets raped murdered and set on fire in front of him!! Then after he watches cut his eyes out and let him run scared in the streets while we all stab him with rusty dull nails before he gets killed the same way he killed Kelsey Smith(R.I.P.) would do it personally if he touched my family. In order to defend this crazy killer you must have the same type of thoughts as him which makes you a sick puppy also. Anyone who defends this guys actions should be with him in jail getting fucked in their stupid rapist asses.
Posted On: Friday, Jun. 8 2007 @ 11:24PMWhat matters here is Kelsey, Lonewolf, not your intelligence.

LOOSENED? Are you kidding?????
And as for the "baseless perceptions and media hokum" (oh aren't you so smart):
Johnson County KS prosecutor Phill Kline: "I'm not gonna get into the evidence, but we're very very comfortable with the charges," he said.
Edwin R. Hall, the 26 year old who individual who is charged in the murder and strangulation of Kelsey Smith, had a criminal record at the age of 15. Why does this not surprise any one of us? Edwin R. Hall “pleaded no contest as a 15-year-old to threatening his sister at knifepoint”, according to court records.
The guy pled guilty.
You're not smarter than everyone, big words and all, so get off of your high horse.
That tattoo on his arm reminds me of the guy in the Saw movie...nice...

Posted On: Friday, Jun. 8 2007 @ 11:48PMLonewolf -- thanks for expressing the only sane and educated view on this website. Nick...you're an idiot. Why don't you pull a Billy Madison, go back to 1st grade, and take another shot at getting yourself educated. Then, come back and try to post something that makes an ounce of sense. And by the way, your first sentence should be "you are the dumbest person I've ever SEEN a comment posted by." Dumbass.
Posted On: Friday, Jun. 8 2007 @ 11:50PMHe was a "sweet troubled soul" who held his sister at knifepoint when he was a teen. He was adopted when he was a kid and his parents knew he had a troubled past.
He pled guilty.
Phill Kline said they are very confident with the charges.
OMG I worked with this guy... and he just kept to himself and read on his breaks. I was soo shocked to hear it was him that did this.. wtf was he thinking...
Posted On: Friday, Jun. 8 2007 @ 11:53PMNo, Lonewolf is a moron. He thinks he's so smart when the evidence is pretty fucking clear. DC you're not that cool either.
This guy pled guilty, was adopted and had a troubled childhood, and held his sister at knifepoint. The DA all said they are very confident with the charges. The guy is GUILTY, and for you guys to sit there and freak out on the posters....they are upset, they might not sound "educated," but they are posting out of anger and they are upset.
Get a heart.

I read the encyclopedia in my spare time and I have no life.
Posted On: Friday, Jun. 8 2007 @ 11:58PMFor what its worth, the most recent post by this name was not me. Obviously one of the perils of being in the outspoken minority on an anonymous posting system.
In any event, since my opinions are obviously unpopular enough that gutless posters are now going to use the handle I picked to post unsubstantiated nonsense, I'll withdraw myself from this ongoing discussion now. I'm tired of bandying wits with the witless anyway.
Thanks once again, to the majority of you, for further eroding my already waning confidence in the American system.
Posted On: Saturday, Jun. 9 2007 @ 12:00AMI am a loner. Hence the name Lonewolf. I have no friends...I come onto pages like this and post so that I can show anonymous viewers how smart I am. I read the encyclopedia and dictionary for fun.
Posted On: Saturday, Jun. 9 2007 @ 12:00AMWhat I meant to say (in plain English) is that I have been told and I will now tuck my tail between my legs and find another website where others are as equally pathetic as I am and we can all discuss how smart we are and feel superior to everyone else. I mean it's so much more important than conveying our anger at this horrible senseless murder. I can only go on and on about my lack of faith in the American system, when nobody fucking cares.

Posted On: Saturday, Jun. 9 2007 @ 12:07AMHmmm...I guess your right "Lonewolf is a moron." I mean, so long as the DA is "very confident" with the charges we should forget about a trial and the orderly administration of justice. After all, gosh, DAs are rarely, if EVER, proven wrong at trial after the defendant has had an opportunity to discredit evidence that is "pretty f-ing clear." In fact, I think that should be the new burden of proof for the state to satisfy in all crimes higher than a traffic ticket -- We can call it the "Pretty F-inig Clear" standard. Forget about proving a crime beyond a reasonable doubt.
Posted On: Saturday, Jun. 9 2007 @ 12:08AMMy God. Proven guilty or not, the fact of the matter is that we are all very upset by this and we are angry. Give us a small break for being upset, how can you not be? It's kind of tough to be super rational at this time. Get a heart.
RIP Kelsey Smith
RIP may God rest your soul. You didn't deserve this. May whoever did this burn.
Posted On: Saturday, Jun. 9 2007 @ 12:13AMDC you're right. How dare these people come onto a page that's directed at the accused killer of an innocent 18 year old girl and post angry comments? They must have some nerve. I mean they should all just start defending him. I have no faith in the justice system, or in these anonymous posters. That is what is truly horrible. That is what we should all be concerned with right now. Not the fact that an innocent young girl was brutally murdered. We should be more focused on defending her accused killer until he is found guilty in court of law. Because those who are found guilty in a court of law are always guilty, and a jury is always right. Forget the videotapes. Forget the coincidences. The jury is all that matters...
Posted On: Saturday, Jun. 9 2007 @ 12:17AMLoneWolf how can you actually defend this:
"I'm also not entirely sure what's so 'creepy' about the Myspace page. The guy watches horror films, likes Batman and his father, and wishes he could have met Ghandi for Chrissake. The weird (and otherwise very out of place) comments about 'eating children' and harming small animals would, in any other context, be regarded as darkly comical or stupid at best. Certainly not 'creepy.'"
Ummmm.........I think it's pretty safe to say that's pretty creepy. Weirdo.
He had a child!!!! It's not darkly comical when you talk about eating children and harming small animals, it's just not funny at all. Stupid at best. Yeah....pretty darn stupid.
Posted On: Saturday, Jun. 9 2007 @ 12:27AM"Lonewolf" -- I'm glad that you agree with me that the jury is always right. I mean, look at O.J. No--obviously, juries are not always right. I never said that they were. All I said was that this kid deserves the benefit of being prosecuted under the protections of our judicial system, where you're all-knowing DA can present his videotapes and set forth all of his coincidences as circumstantial evidence. The alternative is letting you and the rest of this mob-mentality crowd railroad him. Are you really going to sit there and tell me that there are no innocent people in prison? Try this...go to Google and type in "Innocence Project" and see what you get.
Posted On: Saturday, Jun. 9 2007 @ 12:29AMLonewolf I am happy to see some intelligent feedback. I am aware that some are probably in pain due to the tragedy but there has not even been a trial. I believe that a lot of people are jumping to conclusions, which is indeed instinct, but it would definitely be more intelligent to keep your conclusions to yourself... at least until the trial has been completed.

Posted On: Saturday, Jun. 9 2007 @ 1:45AMI never heard mention of a sexual assault of any kind (a.k.a. rape) by Hall. Was or is Hall gay? Just asking as I haven't heard.
Smith was a beautiful , young and in the prime of her life.. Hall is (if guilty) a sick (and possibly gay) bastard.
Posted On: Saturday, Jun. 9 2007 @ 1:47AMDo you think Hall has killed anyone before. It seems odd to just leave your house one evening , kill a beautiful girl and then return home to play with your kid and ride your motorcycle with your wife less than an hour after your first kill. It seems to me he must have killed before or he is a truly disturbed sociopath - period!
Lonely Wind brings up a valid point in regard to Hall's sexual orientation. Perhaps he had been repressing his sexual desire for men and was looking for a woman to prove he was "a real man". I have heard this scenario in regard to other killers in the past. Who knows? What do you think?
Posted On: Saturday, Jun. 9 2007 @ 2:05AMYou bring up an interesting point in both regards.
No.1... Repressed, deviant (homosexual) thought could have been consuming him and his every waking moment Whereas the only way he could find release was to either give in to his desires to have sex with another man are do something 180 degrees in the other direction. I doubt (unless he has killed before) that he left his house planning to kill someone. I think he got caught up in the moment and things got "out of hand." Besides his wife was (and is) less than desirable due to the fact she is rather, shall we say large!
No. 2... He may be a psyco who has killed before. That girl missing for a month or so from somewhere in MO might have been one of his victims?
Food for thought.

BoBo
Posted On: Saturday, Jun. 9 2007 @ 2:28AMI agree BoBo! You, Lonely Wind and Neal123 bring up some interesting angles.
Who knows why anyone does what they do. What we do is what we do, there is no explaining away of all of anyones actions.
Perhaps she (Kelsey Smith) wasn't raped, but was forced to perform oral sex on Hall. During such time he could have been fantasizing about it being a guy? I would imagine however, that a girl in such a situation would likely attempt to bite off his penis. I wonder if Hall shows any physical signs of injury.
Hall is a sickoooooooo
Posted On: Saturday, Jun. 9 2007 @ 2:41AMYou guys don't know what its like to be all alone. I loved Ed Hall! We gave each other head all the time. Hey DC remember when you were there and Ed busted his load in both of our faces. That was the best day of my life. I must have sucked him off a half a dozen times that day, he was a true man!!!ED I MISS YOU!!!!!
Posted On: Saturday, Jun. 9 2007 @ 6:16AMWow this guy went and rode his motorcycle with his fat ugly wife right after he killed Kelsey! He is truely one of the sickest sons of bitches I have ever heard of. I hope he dies from a broomstick jammed in his ass!
Posted On: Saturday, Jun. 9 2007 @ 6:25AMI cry just thinking about her. She had soooo much potential. The world is all fucked up! BTW I googled "the innocense project." The fact that anyone can compare this to those cases is really reaching for final breath. Okay, maybe Hall just sat in his truck in the parking lot for a couple of hours and coincidently left the parking lot ten minutes after the "real killer" dropped Kelsey's car off at Macy's. He is on tape!!!! He was found in possesion of the truck. He is from a troubled past ( oh, so everyone should feel sorry for him). Fuck him and all u fags who defend him. Kelsey was such an incredible young woman, who had dreams, plans to better the world and without her I truly believe the world will be less than it could have been with her. Kelsey, that is what matters here. DC, go tell her dad that this guy deserves to be treated fair. Fair, is letting a young girl live because she did no harm to anyone. Unfair is killing her because he w3anted to prove he is a man, or not gay or he needed a real woman cuz his wife is a dog. This is sooooo sad!!!!!!!! Kelsey Smith 18 yrs old just graduated days b4 her MURDER! Can never do what she had planned NEVER NEVER. Atleast Hall can talk to his family and see his son as no one will ever see Kelsey again. RIP Kelsey. ROT in hell Hall
Posted On: Saturday, Jun. 9 2007 @ 7:44AMLonely Wind, you could be 100% correct about the latent homosexual stuff. (Not that there is anything wrong with that. However, I myself am "strait" and love women. If I was ten years younger and had known Kelsey I would have hit on her. She was hot and will be missed!
Here is what I think...
Edwin Hall. a.k.a. "Jack" is from the same part of Olathe that I am from. While I can't say I knew him, I did see him around from time to time. Several people I know thought he was gay. He worked on a friends truck (the friend of mine was a dude) and my friend said "Jack" took his shirt off and was flexing for him and he wanted to show the guy his tattoos. This made my friend very, very uncomfortable and my friend said he didn't have the money to get some of the parts "Jack" said it needed. My friend said he had plenty of money, but wanted to get away from the guy he described as creepy.
There could be something to the gay angle, but I can't say for sure.
Lonely Wind, you could be 100% correct about the latent homosexual stuff.

If Mr.
Posted On: Saturday, Jun. 9 2007 @ 10:41AMHey everyone!
here is a females perspective on the gay angle.
After reading several of the posts I've concluded that Hall must have been gay. If I was a guy I would have raped the girl. After all - if you are going to kill a beautiful young woman why not fuck (rape) her as well. It's not like you wouldn't rape her because you don't want to get in trouble for that. What the hell.
I'm a straight girl and conclude Hall is either gay, impotent og just a weirdo. I'm straight and just feel there are either things he did we don't know about yet or Hall might be a wannabe fag.
Posted On: Saturday, Jun. 9 2007 @ 11:01AMYo all! I have looked on many sites to find out more about this Hall guy. From what I can surmise thus far is that he is a creep, a father, a probable killer, potential homosexual, a husband, an oddball!
With all of that having been said Edwin Hall deserves the death penalty if he is found guilty.
Kelsey Smith was a hottie! She will be missed by her family, her friends and by countless people who only knew of her. Rest in peace.
Posted On: Saturday, Jun. 9 2007 @ 11:32AMI agree with many of the previous posts in regard to Hall being in search of his sexual roll in life. Let's face it, his wife is quite fat and ugly. That alone could make a guy want to prove he's "a man." Could this search for his sexual identity have played a roll here.
Gay, strait or whatever; this Hall guy (used loosely) is a sick bastard if he did it.
Posted On: Saturday, Jun. 9 2007 @ 11:49AMi would be willing to bet that lonewolf and all the other judicial system jockers, are not homicide detectives. The guy that did this was very sloppy and very desperate for attention. You don't even need to be a detective to realize that "they have the guy of interest". In other words because of Kansas law.....They have the looser that did this. I don't care if I type sloppy and don't use big nerdy words. I am not posting to get attention at 3 in the morning in between popping lesions and eating doritos. Hall did it and when you see the evidence I hope you can at least apoligize for being such a self rightous, arrogant, looser who wants attention at a time like this. Quit posting and go fuck yerself. God Bless the smith family and may their strenth be in the lord.

Posted On: Saturday, Jun. 9 2007 @ 2:36PMi invite any of you people who are defending edwin the puss ass into the octogon. All you pussies who sit and blog all the time but never get your fat asses off the chair are victims of a way more extreme circumstance than kelsey. She is face to face with the lord. She made a decision one day. She is in paridise. You people who are defending a killer are just what america has become. I would love to see edwin be punished by setting him in an mma ring and left to fight till the death..... .... If he did this bullshit pussy ass crime than I hope that his prayer life is substantial. Otherwise he may be in the lake of fire. I just am tired of seeing dumb ass pussy motherfuckers, think they are hard cause they kiddnapped a 100 lbs girl and killed her..... Step to a man you little bioootch!!!!
Posted On: Saturday, Jun. 9 2007 @ 8:45PMHello, First off I agree with most of what i seen from lonewolf! Well said! And for the person/People who thought it would be cool to write nasty things about his wife that is just wrong! Leave his wife and kid out of it! They are hurt enough i am sure! And for the family of Kelsey all i can say is Pray for them! A life wasted! And if he is proven guilty two life's wasted. so protect your children and pray for the victims and pray for the killers too. I have faith in our judicial system and hope that the family of Kelsey and the family of Edwin "Jack" can find some kind of peace someday!
Posted On: Saturday, Jun. 9 2007 @ 10:05PMrampage jackson... Watch your self all that talk about her being in paradise and face to face with the lord! I am sure that is all true i am sure she is an angel but if you are such a God fearing man maybe you should eat some of your own words!!!!!!
Posted On: Saturday, Jun. 9 2007 @ 10:08PMthis motherfucker is an arrogant piece of shit.
Posted On: Saturday, Jun. 9 2007 @ 11:41PMI think this whole thing has irreversibly affected how everyone thinks. As I walk out of a store, I watch people more and hold my daughter closer. I know everyone is emotional and very understandable. I don't really think you can judge and jury one man according to the news stations. Hasn't the public learned that news is so biased. I happen to think the man did it, but not being on the jury, seeing the evidence, and the defense, am not willing to point my finger and condemn ANYONE. As far as the news coverage around here, I think Hall's lawyer already has good grounds for a chang of venue. As for Lonewolf--you are a bit wordy, but a beacon in the darkness. As for the attacks on Lonewolf--he is not defending Hall, he is defending the judicial system.
Posted On: Sunday, Jun. 10 2007 @ 1:16AMI agree with Lone Wolf, I am so sorry for Kelsey's family and friends but "Jack" is no weirder than anyone else, seems to me he has a sense of humor. When I look at him i see a lost soul that should have been helped, come on if he did do this to that beautiful girl, the guy must be insane, he is innocent till proven guilty.
Posted On: Sunday, Jun. 10 2007 @ 11:04AMWhy is his wife hiding?? She has a lot to answer for! I wanna see her answer my questions! I love how these scumbag family members of killers take down their web pages
and try to hide and avoid the media! Althea Hall you coward!
Freakish if you husband or wife killed someone would you take down your myspace or keep it up until your inbox is flooded, would you really want to deal with that while the person you thought or still does love you stands before a court with charges of murder.. think! CLASS DISMISSED SUCKAA!!
Posted On: Monday, Jun. 11 2007 @ 12:43AMEverybody needs to calm down and eat some fruit or something. Unless I am really out of the loop, the only evidence I've seen is some grainy cell phone quality videos and a myspace page. Oh, and an even lower quality still shot of a truck that looks like mine. No fingerprints yet. No DNA evidence yet. No matching license plates yet. No bloody gloves, no smoking gun. Whoever did this deserves some severe punishment, but who here is 100 percent, with a doubt, would stake their life on it sure that Hall is the person who did it? I agree that right now people are angry and are going to do and say things that wouldn't do if they thought it out beforehand, but if you are truly angry and upset over this then go donate some time or money to one of our local women's shelters, (www.safehome-ks.org) (www.sheffieldplace.org) (www.synergyservices.org) And eat some fruit, I hear it's relaxing.
Posted On: Monday, Jun. 11 2007 @ 11:23AMFirst, I am extremely sorrowful for the Kelsey and her family. It is a real shame that this happened to them.
I also cannot help but to also feel sadness for Edwin Hall. Although I don't know the full story, what has been reported is that he was adopted (red flag), but not until age 7, which presumably means he spent the first formative years of his life in foster/state care (red flag), and was "given up" by his adoptive family at the age of 15 and returned to the State (red flag).
Someone who would commit such an egregious crime clearly doesn't understand love, and is seem obvious why he doesn't. I doubt he's ever been loved.
It's almost always about broken love.
Not surprisingly, read the poem he wrote for his Myspace page ("for those who never loved me, etc.).
Just some thoughts to consider.
Posted On: Monday, Jun. 11 2007 @ 5:12PMA follow up ...
I just read the comments by "Rampage Jackson." With all due respect, you're an idiot. Please do us all a favor and THINK before you write/speak (or at least try it).
Okay so I can see both sides as to what people are talking about. As of right now unless you or someone you know works at the court house and hear and see all, then you don’t know what is going on. We don't know if this is the guy. When I first saw this image of a man at Target, I thought it was someone I knew. It could be Hall or someone else. So infact if he did not do it and he really does need help, how do you think you would act if Hall saw YOU after talking SH*T and he is found not guilty. So many people get accused of doing crimes that they actually didn't do until further evidence proves them innocent. Don't get me wrong our technology is better today than before.
As for the other girl missing, this sounds likely that someone could put the blame on someone that has been accused of the same kind of crime. People often jump to conclusions, pointing fingers so quickly.
As a person who has survived a similar type of crime, I know that if he is guilty, he will be punished by the system as well as behind bars.
There are more people out there that are just as creepy!!! Not one of us is perfect in any way shape or form. We can however have peace within our own. I hope some of you will just move on away from this and go and shed some good rather than arguing about how other people should think.
I still remember what happened to me and I was only six at the time. He was a bad, bad man. I will never forget, but I had to move on and make sure that when I got older, to be wiser. I now have a daughter that is almost 10 and she is doing great. I have learned to forgive but certainly not forget.
So my god rest her sole, and I hope that people could be more kind to one another. Hate solves nothing, only causes trouble.
Rampage Jackson, I don't believe I've ever heard it put QUITE like that in church.
My prayers are for the family of Kelsey. One can only hope that God saw fit to take her soul before the monster began his attack. You people shouldn't feel sorry for her, she is walking with Jesus and we should all be so lucky.
If only people would get this fired up about God.......
Posted On: Tuesday, Jun. 12 2007 @ 12:46AMWow. Most of the comments on here are nothing but low blows and talking trash. I have to say that I agree completely with a few of the others on this site. It hasn't even been a week since his arrest and he's already been convicted by the media.
You don't know him. He has a very strange sense of humor. I gotta give you the babies and animals comment on his page. That was definately out there. And at this point, all evidence is pointed directly at him. But there has not been a trial. All evidence has not been presented. Wasn't there talk of possibly another person being involved? The parking lot cam was grainy and you could barely make it out. Could you see his face in that shot? Pushing her in the car? I watched it on several stations and couldn't make out much of anything. Also, would you be looking chipper if you were picked up from your home in hadcuffs with your wife and son watching? From the moment his identity was released to media as the "person of interest" he has gotten more hate than I think even the strongest man could take.
When I see his picture plastered all over and different videos of him since wednesday, this isn't the Jack I knew. If he is guilty, then he deserves the punishment he is dealt. But if he is not, I hope this will be a lesson to every one of you that you are INNOCENT until PROVEN guilty.
Vita,
Thank you very much for your so not evil, or medialike opinion. If you do know him please e mailme at www.peel_561@yahoo.com. Also let him know that iam all over these websights trying my hardest to stick up for him.. I can tell by his eyes that is totally innocent, and would love for him to know that I am pulling for him big time. I mean, if they lowered his bond, I would pay his ransom. Do you believe me whwn i say that he is the total scroficial lamb in this situation. Also please tell him ,and his wife, and child that I am pulling for him too. I did, too, write to him in jail, and if he needs anything to let me know. Thank you, any friend of Jacks, is a friend of mine.
Anonymous...find something that's worth us listening to if you're going to bother speaking. Too bad it's not your face splashed all over every station and newspaper so that the entire midwest could have a go at you. You're so unoriginal you can't even pick you're own username. Feels great being picked on, huh? Imagine it at a much larger scale with your actual name and picture for all to see and laugh at...
Posted On: Tuesday, Jun. 12 2007 @ 10:43PMFirst, I am so incredibly sad that we live in a world where we have to fear for our children every day. It is quite obvious that we have forgotten (or were never taught) to love each other. I am happy to see some logical posts lately as opposed to the venom earlier.
I will try to have faith in the judicial system, hard as that may be. I will believe that Edwin is innocent until proven guilty. I will not jump to conclusions. I will be patient.
I DO NOT want to live in a world where vigilante justice prevails. If Rampage Jackson were "in charge" I can assure you that some woman, somewhere, who decided he was "out of line" would cry rape and the mob would throw him in the pit to be savaged. It would not matter if he was innocent of the bogus charges. All that would matter is what was said.
I have an idea, all those people that have declared Edwin guilty and have proposed all sorts of horrific justice for him (without benefit of a trial), how about you move overseas to Afganistan and hook-up with the Taliban? You would fit right in...
Me, I will remember what Jesus taught and I will be patient and have faith. I still believe (with everything I have) that you should "do unto others as you would have them do unto you".
Posted On: Wednesday, Jun. 13 2007 @ 8:40AMthis is ed's bff.... he didn't do it... the murderer is still out there...
Posted On: Wednesday, Jun. 13 2007 @ 9:48AMThank you Ed's Bro and Just a Mom. It's about damn time some people started standing up for something other than pure hate with no knowledge of the facts or the person that Jack is. Most of the people on this site do NOT know him and don't even deserve to know him. I understand the anger. I understand that the media has painted this nasty picture of him. Please calm down and look at everything (which I will state again that EVERYTHING has not been presented yet!) before you make up your minds that he is guilty. Stop and put yourself in his place and how difficult this must be. I am not forgetting of the pain that Kelsey's family is feeling. I can't imagine it. But do you think they would want a man convicted of their daughters' horrid murder based on circumstantial evidence and an odd personality?
Posted On: Wednesday, Jun. 13 2007 @ 1:19PMIt pretty much is as simple as this- the clothing he is wearing is much easier to identify than his face is. was he wearing that outfit that day? those shoes? did he use debit/ credit cards in the area between 7 and 9pm on that day? how about HIS cell phone pings?
and let's not forget dna. even if there is as little as a single hair found in her car of his, that's it. guilty. there is no reason THAT mans hair should be in that girls car unless he had killed her.
it is unfair to call adoption a red flag. yes, he was adopted late and i can not speak of his time in the foster care system, that aside, there are plenty of children that need good homes and it is not fait to lump them all in Halls category. What strikes me is that the adoptive parents felt fear.
i read that a month or so ago Hall approached a woman in the parking lot of oak park mall and made her feel very uncomfortable.
as soon as her car was dusted and prints ran, if his fingerprints were in her car, there would be a match because of his previous charges.
to say that not all of the evidence has come forward...(i do think that, even though it is myspace, having eating babies and all of his crap that he had on there is a bit demented, the fact that his wife did not ask him to remove it, i expect nothing less than for her to be in complete denial of what has occured)...it doesn't take weeks for evidence proving him guilty to come out. it takes the dusting of that car and the running of prints. how do you think that they had a person of interest so early on?
to those of you that knew and loved him, i'm sorry that you hurt, but sticking by him, making excuses and bashing others for expressing the pain they are feeling, the grief shared by many over kelsey, it to me shows that he was a manipulative individual who sought out other week, lost souls to befriend, he played you, he used you...and he killed kelsey.

Posted On: Wednesday, Jun. 13 2007 @ 9:29PMI am honestly finding it difficult to formulate an opinion; an aside, I don't know that threads like this are actually beneficial to anyone. I believe that we've all been suckered by the plethera of mediums attacking this story, and made to believe that Edwin Hall is guilty. I have no clue, I don't know him, I don't know Kelsey; but I do know the community, and I have faith that there is still some justice in our system. I don't think that Jack Hall should be anyone's hero, anyone's enemy; until he was charged, we knew nothing about him, he was as invisible as the rest of us.
Whoever is guilty will pay for his crimes, his hate against humanity. How foolish to believe, if only for a moment, that you are bigger than God...that you are powerful enough to turn life into death. God will take your evil and reek empathy and knowledge into the many lives touched by this tragic loss. may your soul wither and forever be alone, trapped with the memories of your sins.
Almost a decade ago, I experienced something hauntingly similar to that of Kelsey Smith's case; ambushed, ravaged, and left for dead... except that I was found. And as a survivor, my one question left is this: why must you die to get justice? One in four women in our country will be sexually assaulted by the time she's 18...and that's not a woman problem. How is it that sick individuals such as the perp. in this case, be they men or women, old or young, fathers or sons, how do they allow themselves to act out what only the demented think--let alone do? Nature vs. Nurture. The egg and the chicken.
There is evil all around us, folks...despite however many churches we put on our streets, despite how many times we've heard to love our neighbors as ourselves. How overwhelmingly sad that this girl's last moments were in the presence of anyone as truly troubled as the soul who made off with hers.
I will pray for the Smith family in the many trying years to come.
Posted On: Wednesday, Jun. 13 2007 @ 10:48PMOk, @. First of all who is doing the bashing here? Look through just this blog alone and see where the hate is all coming from. Honestly, I'm not sure what to think. But, I am upset by this as well. So many people are taking this into their own hands and formulating opinions without all the facts. Maybe he is the guy. But what about the chance he's not!
I'm feeling somewhat attacked here by you! Thanks for calling me weak, lost, etc. So appreciated! All I want is a fair shot on all sides. Not just mob mentality forums and other bullshit!
Was the thing in the parking lot of the mall reported before or after the investigation came out with Kelsey? If it was reported before, I definitely see your point. Otherwise...do we know it was without a doubt Jack?
I'm not denying what has happened to kelsey or her family. It's awful. A pain so terrible I hope never to come close to it.
The reason I got on here is because I am tired of people posting shit like "Fuck he's ugly!" Give something that is worth talking about! Believe it or not, even though you have somewhat offended me, I value your opinion. I believe that you feel very strongly about your side of this. I have nothing but respect for that. So instead of calling me weak, why don't you tell me what you think about this and I'll give you the same respect?
Hi I am a mother of 4 children and it scares the hell out of me there are people out there like this and not just the murderer but there had to be someone that seen her get pulled in the car and did nothing .
I mean This is why i watch my kids like a hawk(I got mad when my 10 yr told me she went over to a friends house and the friends mom let them walk two blocks to a puplic lake she not going there anymore there are to many wierdos out there beside if she fell in the lake no one would help her even if they were right there ).
I have told all my kids about this so they can be very careful in the future and to be on the look out for weird people following them even in the store but not just weird people but people that look normal to.
I also feel very sorry for this mans son he did nothing wrong and he will forever be labled the kid of the guy that killed someone not fair at all .
And what about his wife man was she stupid she had to know this guy had some weird stuff going on how could a wife not know this of her husband unless she was stupid
Justice will be served, hes not famous like O.J. or M Jackson he will propley be found guilty and go to jail he does not have enough money to buy his way out.
Can I ask you a question, Amy Lee? Why are you talking shit on his wife? Have you ever known someone and found out later you never knew him/her at all? I've totally been there. Even with this case I flip back and forth. What does calling Aletha stupid gain you?
I will say that I agree with what you said about the Target Security 100%. That hit me yesterday and it's bugged me ever since. Do you think that something should be done with them? I'm not talking jail time. But people need to start taking the extra step to ensure the safety of their customers. If they "saw" his odd-ball behavior, why not get up, go the doors when he left and make sure that he left the area without incident? Why wasn't her safety important enough?
I'm not trying to shift blame. The murderer is the one who should pay. This point just really bothers me! I had something similar happen to me a few years ago. Only in my case, I'm still alive because the security guard noticed this man following me through the store and then towards my car. He ran out and helped me. Where was Target's Security?
about a year ago, i was eight months pregnant & tripped over the hose @ a gas station in the same area as the target where all of this has taken place; i had my toddler son with me, who was holding my hand & i took him down with me on accident. there was a car in every stall getting gas, and not ONE PERSON helped me or asked if i was okay as i lay on the ground, huge belly up in the air, with my crying son. not one person.
where were the people in the parking lot. seven pm @ a target-----someone saw this happening, and in true self-centered american form no one helped. like vita, i'm not shifting the blame off of the true wrong doer, but it's a sad fact that we're all too fearful--of being wrong, of being hurt, of being laughed at or brushed off--to stand up for someone else.
i wish i had been there; i wish that i had been in the parking lot & i could've at least locked my kids in the car and stood on my hood and screamed until someone helped.

Posted On: Friday, Jun. 15 2007 @ 4:56PMI am so saddened by all of this news. While I understand the pleas for due process by posters like LoneWolf, I think it also stands to reason that, even without a court decision, there is a lot of evidence against this man. That evidence ranges from his verbal assault on someone else recently, to his clothing matched up to the tapes, to the fact that he returned to the scene later for his truck. More than anything, I guess I just want to say that it horrifies me, and it depresses me to a great deal that similar things happen every day to women across the country. I did not know Kelsey, and yet this news makes me want to cry. My friend suffered a really horrific sexual assault this year--one that involved torture--and made it out alive. The man that left her for dead took money out of her bank just moments after this took place. How can this world have people like this in it? Whoever did this, and it seems likely that this case will close with it having been Hall, has left a scar on the lives of so many individuals. We all have troubles, we all feel lonely or misunderstood, but horrific acts like this cannot be explained away with such excuses. I'm so heartbroken that I live in a world where I have to look over my shoulder, where I can't leave my drink down at a friend's party, where young, strong, bright women like Kelsey are taken from us. I am sick of it, I am sick of being afraid, and I can understand why people get emotional about this. Those who commit crimes like this do not deserve to breathe the air they steal from others. They don't even deserve our due process, though we offer it to them, as we're not beasts of the same cloth.
Posted On: Friday, Jun. 15 2007 @ 10:51PMwow, i just moved here. you peeps are giving me the creeps with all this "evil doer" talk. it called mental illness in the science community. you know, that community of peeps that are scholars... the reason he was allowed to kill that girl is cuz your political officials would rather spend money on cops sitting at donut shops while this kid kills, rather than to put your tax money into preventative health care for the mentally ill in your community. thats right, i'm suggesting this would not have happened had the system been geared to prevent it. again, it's called preventative health care. instead, you and your "political leaders" sent the police out the donut shop and into the park to walk their highly trained dogs. maybe i'm wrong here but, if the mental health system has no priority or "teeth" in the community, then peeps like jack will continue to live shut-in right next door to any of you... or, are you thinking the criminal system is going to find the "jacks" before he commits a crime? before he is a evil criminal... just a thought from someone new to the area...
Posted On: Saturday, Jun. 16 2007 @ 1:46AMSaving judgement for alleged wrong doers is an important part of our American history, even if it often doesn't seem to be active in the American present. But no one should make the mistake of assuming Edwin Hall's innocence; take it from someone who has had the misfortune of crossing paths with him. He's manipulative and I'm deeply sorry for his wife & son, who surely (other than Kelsey, obviously) are the biggest victims here.
And Tom, there certainly could be more focus on mental health--in Kansas City & nationally--as a means to prevent. But don't forget about the people who are plain and simply evil. There is no program for them, there is no way to monitor when and where they will strike. Thanks to the KC police force, Edwin Hall was caught almost as soon as his crime was committed, i.e. before he could hurt someone else. Mark my words, Kelsey was not Edwin's first victim...sadly he's been hurting people in one way or another his whole life.
DO NOT FEEL SORRY FOR HIM. FEEL SORRY FOR THE SMITH'S, HIS WIFE, HIS SON; YOU ARE FOOLS TO SUPPORT SOMEONE YOU DON'T KNOW, FOOLS TO THINK THAT HE'D STILL BE IN JAIL IF HE HADN'T KILLED KELSEY.
THEY GOT HIM, AND KELSEY CAN REST IN PEACE.
Posted On: Saturday, Jun. 16 2007 @ 4:06PMMarianne: Get a LIFE girl, that myspace page was deleted ages ago. Go away.
Posted On: Saturday, Jun. 16 2007 @ 9:06PMMarianne, she deleted that account because of wack jobs like you, that were harassing her for something she had nothing to do with. Thought you'd like to know...
Posted On: Monday, Jun. 18 2007 @ 12:42PMI appreciated your last post, Anonymous. I never said he was without a doubt innocent. My problem with the posts I've been finding in a lot of forums and blogs is that people are talking about and picking on petty stuff. Such as anything that's directed at his wife and son. There are way more important topics at hand. Like honest evidence or Kelsey's family and how they are coping with this.
To Eleanor Rigby, I feel where you're coming from. I'm sorry that happened to you. It's for people like that that I refuse to live in Johnson County.
As for the "verbal assault" copy and paste this into your browser and watch this lady for yourself.

I'm not saying that Jack hasn't said weird/inappropriate things before. But I don't believe this lady for one second. This one does not add up for me. There is a lot of evidence that points directly to him. But not this. She wanted her 15 minutes and she got it. I just hope it was worth it.
Posted On: Monday, Jun. 18 2007 @ 12:55PMCertainly I can see where everyones anger comes from on this.. and that is natural and would be strange not get angry and want to rip the guys head off and make him suffer a horrible death
Also you would feel this even more if you had it happen to your own daughter
Yet in saying that..this is just another case of reason why people need JESUS CHRIST in their life
As soon as AMERICA took prayer out of schools things have gone gradually down hill for the country
People want to do things their way, leaving God out of the picture and in turn what comes back is a result.
So yes..anger is justified
And right now he might not give a crap that he has murdered, who knows what state of mind he is in..
Years from now when he is sitting in his cell, he may come to a place where he realizes that what he did not only was wrong but was selfish and maybe just maybe he will cry out to Jesus Christ
He is one of thousands of men and women that are rightfully so locked up in prison for their crimes
Yet holding on to bitterness gets people no where.. at some point we all need to choose to forgive.. though certainly people will be less inclined to do it while its fresh in their mind.
There is a lot of power in forgiveness.. I once saw a man whos daughter had been murdered, face his daughters murderer years later and tell him that he forgave him
The person who murdered broke down in tears
So certainly my heart goes out to both familes, and for now he needs to be behind bars locked up.. but that is not where it should end.
Bars wont change him.. Only Jesus will
