If You're a KU Fan, This Might Hurt
After all that smack talk last week between KU and MU fans, it appears Missourians have gotten the last laugh. Here's the latest e-mail volley.

Ah, the "grace" of Mizzou fans, even in victory...enjoy the win, we'll see you on the hardwood.
Posted On: Wednesday, Nov. 28 2007 @ 3:57PM"GRACE" Did you look up that word in the Websters? As a 50 year resident of KC and a fan of neither team I have found KU fans to not have that word in their vocabulary. The feeling of entitlement that would make the Clintons blush and a childish "everything has to be about me" attitude wears very thin at times.

"One day you will grow up and play some Top 25 teams and then be held up to all the hipe that you got this year."
Brent, care to provide any examples? You know, like of e-mails that KU fans sent out after a "win"? Or maybe a shirt extolling the "just cause" of slavery? Yep, MU is a bastion of class.
Santa, seeing that Brent is fond of Websters, perhaps you two could get together and let me know what the hell "hipe" is...
As for the game, MU won, and was the better team. Congrats. We'll still kick your ass up and down the basketball court. Twice, as a matter of fact.

The case for canceling college football's national title game."
"Missouri, which has the strongest résumé of any contender, still gave up 41 points in a loss to Oklahoma. A month before the BCS title game, we already know college football's national champion: nobody."
"In a year like this one, it makes more sense to guess which team is best than to try to suss out an answer with a single game. After all, if Missouri loses to West Virginia, couldn't you argue that Kansas is the national champion? Sure, Kansas lost to Mizzou—but at least the Jayhawks didn't lose to South Florida."
"I'm looking forward to a potential game between Missouri and West Virginia. Just don't try convincing me that the winner is anything close to great."

Posted On: Friday, Nov. 30 2007 @ 9:13AMWent to the Chiefs Raiders game last Sunday. I honestly saw Zero KU rags being worn by ANYONE. I really really tried to find some.
You know what I call that experience?
PRICELESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Looking forward to hoops season!! Bring it on Chickens!!!!!
Posted On: Friday, Nov. 30 2007 @ 3:02PMUh huh...what's your record again?
Oh yeah...5-2...in November, no less.
We are also looking forward to the season. See you Jan. 19th.
Posted On: Friday, Nov. 30 2007 @ 3:15PMOh, this is rich! KU ends the season with a better record and a likely BCS bowl game....
Too bad tigers.
Posted On: Saturday, Dec. 1 2007 @ 11:43PMwait, is Josh on the basketball team, or just armchair point guarding on here?
easy on the "we" references there, buddy.
Posted On: Sunday, Dec. 2 2007 @ 12:30PMRoy is obviously from Missouri, as he cannot read (see magic rats post) - "We" as in Jayhawk fans, moron.
What's the record again? 5-3 in the first month of play? Ouch.
"We" (again, meaning the fans) will send you a postcard from Miami.
Posted On: Monday, Dec. 3 2007 @ 8:35AMi'm trying to figure out exactly where you'll be when "we" are kicking ass, though, buddy.
oh, right. at home drinking natty light.
i'm a KU grad. i just think pointing out dorks talking online about "kicking yer asses" (as if you're on the team) is hilarious.
just my 2 cents.
Posted On: Monday, Dec. 3 2007 @ 4:56PMWell, Roy, you see it how you like. I'm a KU grad as well, and truth be told, I lived in Missouri for a decade and even attended UMKC. My "dislike" for MU goes only as far as sports, and I think it's a fun distraction for fans of both sides. I'm sorry you have a need to piss and moan about how authentic a "we" is.
You do realize that your participation in this thread (and your condescension re: "dorks") makes you an on-line dork as well, yes?
BTW, I'll be at the games, both in Columbia and in Lawrence. And I don't drink natty lite.
