A crowd of kids fresh out of Wall-E matinees and aging comic book fans gathered outside of Olathe’s AMC theatre this afternoon to catch a glimpse of the Bat Pod, the new bat vehicle from the upcoming Dark Knight movie.
The Bat Pod is essentially a really long chopper with monster truck wheels and guns on the front. I’m as excited for the movie as anyone else, but for some of these people the hype seems to have affected their brain chemistry. Said one girl who claimed to have walked 8 miles just to see the Pod: “Just the idea that Christian Bale actually sat on that. It’s so sexual, so powerful.”
Well spoken, bat fan.

Actually. sorry to crush the poor girls dreams but Amc had replicas around the country in select places.
