On Thursday, Michael Krueger, a 44-year-old law firm analyst from Overland Park, went to the Flying Saucer bar in the Power & Light District to relish in the fact that he can drink a lot of beer fast. Krueger was the first in Kansas City to drink all 200 of the Flying Saucer's beers.
Here then is a breakdown of Krueger's accomplishment:
When he finished: 11:01 a.m. July 10
Time it took to drink final two beers: One minute ("I can down a pint of beer in no time," Krueger says. "It's a skill I learned in college.")
How he came in first: Krueger says he beat out second-place finisher Rian Moe, an H&R Block analyst, by saving a couple small beers for last. Rian finished minutes later.
Last beer he drank: St. Louis Framboise, a raspberry lambic from Belgium
Days it took: 67 (the bar only allows members of its UFO Club to register three beers a day)
Beers he liked: 194
Beers he didn't: Four, including Peroni, Bud Light, Miller Lite, Boulevard Bully Porter
Prizes the bar gave him along the way, in order: Free pint, free 22-ounce, free hat, plate on the wall with his name on it, $100 party, which he held on Thursday
Meaning of message "Fumar" that he has on his plate: "F-U Matt and Rian," meant as some smack talk to the second-place finisher and a another friend who had to go out of town on business and couldn't finish on time
Pounds he gained: 20
Krueger's next goal: Lose weight
What he learned: "It's ridiculous, I understand, but it was fun."

Congrats Michael. What kind of training is involved for a competition like this?
