Sean Tevis Campaign Site Offers Stick Figure Theater

By Justin Kendall

Freedom isn't free. It costs a buck o' five. To Sean Tevis, democracy costs $8.34. Well, maybe beating Arlen Siegfreid costs that much.

Tevis, a Democrat, is challenging Siegfreid, the Republican ruler of Kansas House District 15, which reps downtown Olathe. Tevis has created the best campaign site I have ever seen.

Why? Because I don't get out much, and stick figure theater is rad.

In the cartoon, stick figure Tevis explains that if 3,000 people donate $8.34, then he will have enough money to unseat Siegfreid. As of 8:18 this morning, Tevis killed that figure: 4,101 people have donated to his campaign.

And just like NPR, if you give a little more, you get a cool gift ($500 donors get a DVD from Tevis' mom saying you're a special person).

As a former Kansan, I was proud to be drop in his bucket.

Good luck!

Thanks for doing this piece. I sent my $8.34.

Not a Kansas, but dropped $5 in his bucket to support the idea that we need less Republicans controlling what goes on in this country.

Go, Sean!
