We knew the New York Times' Bacon Explosion story was big -- that's why we blogged about it yesterday on Fat City.

But two days after the Times' story, The Kansas City Star still thinks it's really, really, really big. In today's Star, the Bacon Explosion is an above-the-fold, A-1 story!

Hey, I love bacon more than I love my arteries, but I still can't quite believe the sudden popularity of a couple of Kansas City barbecue bloggers is, I don't know, bigger news than the House passing the economic stimulus bill. Yeah, there's not much sizzle in recession news, but seriously, Star, this was the best you could do this morning? Or are you just trying to tell us something about pork and government spending? That can't be it -- Jason Day and Aaron Chronister are just having a good time playing with their meat.
