Mike Sanders for mayor? Kraske says it's possible if there's a November election

Mike Sanders is the man in the middle of this photo, and he also might be in the middle of the next mayoral race.

Jackson County Executive Mike Sanders might run for mayor. Kansas City Star political reporter Steve Kraske has the dirt on Sanders' potential mayoral run and the rumors that started circulating last week. Here's the money clip:

Suddenly, there was Sanders' spokesman Calvin Williford on the phone with The Kansas City Star's Mike Mansur, telling him that Sanders might run if an election is scheduled for November.
"We're not ruling anything in or out," Williford said.

So add Sanders' name to the list of potential contenders, including Sly James and Mike Burke.
