World Cup™ futbol coming to Arrowhead?

Arrowhead Stadium is on the not-so short list of stadiums that could host the heavily trademarked FIFA World Cup™ in 2018 or 2022. How short can a list be that include 26 other cities and stadiums? Well, they cut it from 70.

"Bringing the FIFA World Cup™ - the greatest international sporting event in the world - to Kansas City was a dream of my father's throughout his career," Chiefs chairman Clark Hunt said in a statement. "The New Arrowhead Stadium and Kansas City would be magnificent hosts for the event, and we are very excited to be on the short list."

Anyway, the USA Bid Committee will submit a bid to FIFA, which will select the host countries for 2018 and 2022, next May.

So hooligans will have to wait for the World Cup™.
