People who read this blog might have noticed a recent post about a new Namelessnumberheadman album. People who don't read this blog are c---s who are probably listening to ...NPR or some b.s. like that.
Well, anyway, I've got me a digital advance copy of Wires Reply, and though I've spent only this Monday morning with it, I'm liking it pretty well so far. I always hate to pronounce anything good or bad without a couple runs through, but these boys are reliably good most of the time. Here's the first single, a quick visitation with beautiful, soaring, air-drum-worthy pop that leaves the spirit minty-fresh. I've seen the band -- a trio of insanely talented multi-instrumentalists and hell-raisers -- do this one live several times, and it was the song I always left the concert re-creating parts of in my mind. (That means it's got it some catchy hooks, y'all.)
