Bleating, bearded, dreadlocked, perennially weird-looking Counting Crows frontman Adam Duritz gets all the attention. And we feel bad for the rest of the band. So we're printing their names (because we don't have their individually labeled photos and really don't care enough about this to try and get them, because after all, the only one that anyone really cares about is ... oh, right...).
So, when the Crows play tonight at Liberty Hall, look for late-30s, early-40s guys from out of town, who answer to these names and job descriptions:
Charles Gillingham: Piano, Organ, Mellotron, Harmonica, and Accordian
Dan Vickrey: Guitar and Banjo
David Immergluck: Guitar, Mandolin, Pedal Steel, and Bass
David Bryson: Guitar
Jim Bogios: Drums
New jam: "1492"
(Wish we could tell you which of the above guitarists plays that bitchin' lead, but that's definitely Duritz on the drivel-stream.)
Immergluck -- a.k.a. "Immy" -- was a live force with Camper Van Beethoven, playing guitar and mandolin. True story. He's also a very nice dude.
