Scene Snapshot: Busted-Ass Foot Don't Stop the Rock

Last night at the Record Bar, Dead Girls Ruin Everything co-frontman JoJo Longbottom took the stage with a fractured left heel.
Hobbling around on crutches (his fellow singer-guitarist Cameron Hawk carried his beer) when he wasn't singing or shredding on his Les Paul, Longbottom was less mobile but no less equipped to deal out DGRE's tight powerpop harmonies and demanding guitar lines. But he definitely wasn't going to be jumping off the stage while playing a solo, which is how he'd sustained the injury, this past Friday night at the Jaydoc benefit at Mission Theatre.
"I finished the solo, thought," JoJo says.
Talk about a rock and roll Purple Heart. Ow.
