The Beautiful Bodies got turned into rotting bodies on Sunday during a video shoot at the Uptown Theater. The concept behind the video for the song "Strut" included undead models and Bodies frontwoman Alicia Solombrino strutting down a catwalk to the delight of living and undead audience members.
The whole operation was running three hours late, a fact which made for some impatient extras -- Myspace bulletins had requested that people get to the Uptown around noon -- and a frazzled crew. Solombrino, who also directed the video, rewarded the fans and friends who stuck around with pizza toward the end of the day.
Admittedly, I think zombie themes are a little played out. But it should be fun to see how the finished project looks. The video will debut on December 12 at Crosstown Station. Also debuting that night: the video for the Republic Tigers' "Made Concrete."
