Tonight + MP3: Bass-heavy beats by Brent Tactic and FSTZ at Hyperlink
Hungry for bass? McCormick & Schmick's, baby.
Hungry for bass with the long-A sound? Cast your line no further than the Czar Bar at 10 p.m. tonight for the debut of a dub-shakin', earth-quakin' new aural experience called Hyperlink. It's brought to you by DJs Brent Tactic and FSTZ and promises, according to Brent, "bass heavy music from all different walks of life...dubstep, bassline house, electro, funky, glitch, dancehall, etc. FSTZ and I have been looking for an outlet to play these types of tunes and we're both really excited about this night." Cover is $3.
In commemoration of the night's debut -- they're hoping to make it a monthly event -- FSTZ has mixed you up a set to demonstrate what Hyperlink's all about. Right-click on the link or flier below to download it as a single, double-wide MP3.

On a semi-related note: Brent Tactic has graciously stepped in to fill the Pitch Music Showcase slot (12 a.m. at the Foundry) that Kiko De Gallo was prompted to vacate due to a slight career change. Thanks, Brent!
Bonus: If you feel like spending your whole evening at the CZBZ and digesting a disparate spectrum of sound, there's a songwriter showcase before Hyperlink on the very same stage. It starts at 7 p.m. and features local acousticians Elaine McMillan, Terrence Moore and Mikal Shapiro. Sounds like a bloody good night at 16th & Grand!
